• SRA-GAD VISITS PHILIPPINE COMMISSION ON WOMEN HEADQUARTERS
    • On March 19, 2018, SRA GAD team visited the headquarters of the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) as they sought to find ways to improve human well-being by examining the performance and impact of interventions on poverty alleviation, public health and nutrition, along with agricultural opportunities.

  • SRA CELEBRATES NATIONAL WOMEN’S MONTH
    • The SRA Gender and Development Focal Point System led by no less than Adm. Anna Rosario Paner successfully sponsored a three-day activity in line with the celebration of the National Women’s Month on March 6-8, 2017 at the agency’s Social Hall.

  • SRA ATTENDS GMEF ASSESSMENT WORKSHOP IN ILOILO
    • The SRA-GAD, as represented by Mr. Joseph Peter R. Gonzales recently participated in the Gender and Development Focal Point System Gender Mainstreaming Evaluation Framework Assessment Workshop on May 26-27, 2016 held at the West Town Hotel in Mandurriao, Iloilo City

  • SRA ATTENDS FORUM ON CHILD LABOR
    • The Sugar Regulatory Administration attended a research forum sponsored by the University of the Philippines Social Action for Research and Development Foundation, Inc. (UPSARDFI) on August 13, 2015 held at the Bulwagang Tandang Sora of the College of Social Work and Community Development, UP, Diliman, Quezon City.

  • SRA-GAD STAGES SUCCESSFUL GST’S IN CARSUMCO AND PAMPANGA MILL DISTRICTS
    • The SRA-GAD has officially started its Gender Sensitivity Training (GST) season for 2015 with the CARSUMCO and Pampanga Mill Districts as the pilot sites. Interestingly, this year also marks the integration of the topic on Child Labor to the GST module as a result of the agency’s recent partnership with World Vision towards the eventual elimination of such practice in the field.

  • CHILD LABOR LECTURE STAGED
    • The SRA-GAD sponsored a lecture titled “Child Labor-Free Sugar Industry” on June 15, 2015 at the Social Hall right after the flag ceremony. The event was a post activity in observance of the World Day against Child Labour which fell on June 12, 2015.

  • SRA-GAD AND EXTENSION TEAMS UNDERGO TRAINING ON CHILD LABOR
    • In an effort to further enhance and beef up the nationwide conduct of Gender and Development and Farm Management Decision-making Skills Training at the Mill District level, the SRA-GAD TWG and select RDE personnel (Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao) participated in a “Trainers’ Training on Child Labor” sponsored by World Vision on September 3-4, 2014. The successful event was held at the nature-themed Balay Indang in Cavite.

  • SRA-GAD DONATES SEWING MACHINE TO HANDMAIDS OF THE LORD COMMUNITY
    • The SRA-GAD team of Corazon Boyero, Raphael Henri Mundo, Mafi Ramos and Joseph Peter Gonzales went to the Gawad Kalinga site located in Tungkong Mangga, San Jose del Monte, Bulacan on May 21, 2014 to personally turn-over a sewing machine to its chosen benefi-ciary, the Handmaids of the Lord (HOLD) community which aims to help generate income for its underprivileged members.

  • SRA-GAD ATTENDS QC WOMEN’S MONTH KICK-OFF CEREMONY
    • Some members of the SRA-GAD Technical Working Group (TWG) joined in Quezon City’s official kick-off activity in celebration of Women’s Month on March 3, 2014. The event, which lasted for four hours, took place at the Inner Lobby of the QC Hall compound.

  • SRA-GAD SPEARHEADS “HEARTS FOR A CAUSE”
    • As its opening project for 2014 after its annual reconstitution, the SRA-GAD recently launched “Hearts for a Cause.”

  • RECONSTITUTION OF THE SRA-GAD FOCAL SYSTEM FOR 2014
    • A fresh start for a new year: this holds true in the case of SRA-GAD. Following Memorandum dated January 14, 2014 with reference no.: 2014-01-OSCO017 which was issued by the Philippine Commission on Women-Office of the President that orders the strengthening of the GAD Focal Point System, the SRA-GAD recently underwent a reconstitution of its own Focal System.

  • SRA-GAD ACTIVITIES IN LINE WITH WOMEN’S MONTH
    • THE SRA-GAD sponsored a lecture at the Social Hall on March 4, 2013 right after the flag ceremony. This officially kicked off the group’s line-up of activities for the rest of March in observance of Women’s Month. The distinguished resource was former Civil Service Commission (CSC) Chairman and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Ms. Corazon Alma de Leon.

  • NEW SRA-GAD FOCAL POINT HOLDS PLANNING WORKSHOP
    • The newly-reconstituted 2013 SRA-GAD Focal Point including its Technical Working Group (TWG) and Secretariat underwent an end review and planning and advance gender training at the Social Hall on February 25-26, 2013.
